Hi, I’m Travis Hartzell. In 2015, I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a dual BFA in Communication Design and Painting, and a minor in Art History.

I have a passion for grid systems, textures, and tacos. While being in the studio is where I spend most of my time, I also host weekly board game nights, peruse flea market finds, and binge-watch cartoons with my cat.

FUN Fact #1

One thing that always surprises people is when I tell them that I have a Pacman tattoo; specifically Inky, the blue ghost. My mom has always been a big influence on my life, and I can still remember playing the tabletop arcade game for hours with her among other classic arcade games.

FUN Fact #2

When I’m not pushing pixels around all day, I like to push volleyballs around instead. I became an avid player while in high school, and since then have loved playing the game. I’ve played in dozens of tournaments and even started coaching.

FUN Fact #3

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been a little obsessed with space movies. Even when my dad had the worst and cheesiest sci-fi films on TV, I found myself watching it. My personal favorites include The Fifth Element, Mars Attacks!, Futurama, Wall-E, and, of course, Star Wars.
